Caro Villeneuve
For anyone on the competitive wakesurfing circuit, Caro Villeneuve’s status as a pioneer and legend in the sport are well known.
In 2020 she was presented with the prestigious Legend Award for her contributions to the sport and the creation of the World Ranking System, which is now used and recognized all around the world. Since Caro's first competition in 2007, she has participated in 87 competitions as a professional athlete and has stepped onto the podium an astounding 71 times, including 40 first places, 23 second places, eight podiums at the World Wakesurfing Championships and one World Title. Caro founded H2O School in 2011, has been on several Boards of Directors and brought the first World Series of Wakesurfing event to Canada. She also serves as a head judge and pro-level judge at events around the world. Perhaps Caro's greatest legacy in the sport is the way she nurtures, encourages and teaches the athletes she coaches. She has developed wakesurf athletes from Canada, the United States, Europe, Russia, Dubai, Bahamas and Japan.
